The course highlights:

Day 1

  • Setting the scene: introduction to communication
  • Communication skills and techniques
  • Phases of conversation

Day 2

  • Principles and rules of handling consumer advice
  • Standard procedures for consumer advice
  • Output: Drafting an advice protocol

The participants:

20 consumer professionals from Slovakia which work for consumer organisations, the European Consumer Center or national authorities responsible for consumer information and advice attended the class.

Thanks to the networking and debate opportunities given by the course, participants managed to raise and discuss the consumer issues that most affect Slovakia: starting from the financial sector where insurance and credit independent firms often carry on unfair practices, to the energy and telecommunications contracts which are the most worrisome for consumers.
