OCU calls for the withdrawal of two connected toys

dangerous connected toys

The Spanish consumer Organsiation OCU (Organización de Consumidores y Usuarios),  has conducted a study on 5 connected toys to analyse their safety: Jumping Race Jett, Rovospy, Dave Turbo, Teksta and BB8. Two of the toys - Jumping Race Jett and Rovospy - present important failures which jeopardise consumers' privacy.

Through this study, OCU showed that anyone with a computer can, amongst others, remotely take control of the toy, take pictures, record image and sound and all in real time.
