The European Commission has launched a public consultation on energy infrastructure projects in the areas of oil and smart grids open to citizens, organisations and public authorities.

The objective of the consultation:

The European Commission aims to gather views on the need for a gas or electricity project from an EU energy policy perspective bringing together security of supply, market integration, competition and sustainability.

The target groups of this consultation:

Public authorities, Member States authorities, companies, industry associations, SMEs, consumer organisations, trade unions, NGOs, environmental organisations, Consultancies, Workers and Employers' federations, other relevant stakeholders and citizens.
